I believe that every person has a unique story and an inherent potential for growth. My journey in the field of mental health has been guided by a deep respect for the resilience and courage within each individual. As a licensed independent mental health practitioner in the state of Nebraska I have maintained an outpatient mental health private practice for 14 years. Prior to that I gained invaluable experience working as an inpatient psychiatric social worker for 10 years. With this professional foundation and experience, I strive to offer a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, and work towards a more fulfilling life.

I offer professional support for a wide range of concerns. I specialize in treating depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder, helping individuals manage their symptoms and find balance. I also address relationship issues and dynamics, assisting couples and individuals in building healthier connections. Additionally, I provide guidance for stress management and support during life adjustments such as marriage, parenting, loss and grief, and job or relationship changes. My goal is to help you navigate these challenges with resilience and strength, fostering a more fulfilling and joyful life.

When you step into my practice, you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where your voice is heard and your experiences are valued. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we’ll work together to set goals, explore solutions, and celebrate your progress. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, or just looking to enhance your overall well-being, I’m here to support you every step of the process.

I am also a Level 1 trained in the Internal Family Systems model. Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy is an evidence-based approach that views the mind as composed of multiple, interacting parts. Each part has its own perspective and can influence our emotions and behaviors. IFS helps you understand and harmonize these parts, promoting self-awareness and healing by fostering a compassionate relationship with all aspects of yourself. A great mainstream illustration of IFS is the movie Inside Out – both one and two.
